Some of us may be guilty of swiping shirts from our husband’s closets. Although, once we take ownership, they suddenly acquire the appeal of girl power sassiness.

Five Ways to Style an Amazon White Button Down
• I added my white shirt over this tank top styled jumpsuit to add a little more interest to my outfit. It also helps to keep me covered in case I get cold.
• A jean skirt with a tank. In the look above, I left most of the buttons unbuttoned and tied it in front. However, you can also wear a white shirt over a tank and leave the shirt unbuttoned all the way.
• Worn loosely over a slim skirt. I like this look as it is flattering as well as forgiving and compliments almost all figure types.
• As a bathing suit cover up which is an ever-popular look seen on the beach and at the pool.

Lastly, and my favorite way to wear a white button down, is to do the half tuck where you leave part of the front side of the shirt inside your pants and the back side of the shirt hanging loose. Though, the first time I tried this my husband tried to tuck in my shirt for me and I had to explain to him I wanted it this way.

Let’s not forget that white shirts are functional in cold weather too. I like layering mine under sweaters, not just for extra warmth but, sometimes I find that sweaters can be itchy. Hence the magic of white button-down shirts. You need to own one as they will never go out of style.
