Winter is in full swing. I’m back in Chicago this weekend to celebrate my mother’s 93rd birthday and help my son and future daughter in law with some of their wedding plans. I love seeing my family, but miss the sunshine!
There is nothing like the feeling of sunshine on your face and that nice glow that it provides. However, unless you have a vacation planned, we have to find ways to create summer glow. And, even though I recently moved to Florida, I am now even more regimented about applying sunscreen every day than ever before. I want to protect myself from the sun, which means I apply sunblock every day after my moisturizer and am always wearing a hat while outside. I am not going to let the sun affect all of my work dollars I put towards my serum and microdermabrasion. Ha!
Recently, while talking to my daughter Brittany, she introduced me to a new type of self-tanner, Tan Drops. I wasn’t too familiar with them, but was eager to find out more. I want the nice glow you receive from the sun, but not the harmful side affects.

How to Use Tan Drops
The tan drops provide a perfect glow. And, the drops are very easy to use. You don’t have to worry about streaks or turning to “orange”. Simply apply a couple of drops and mix it in with your facial moisturizer or your body moisturizer. You can just mix them together right in the palms of your hands.
You can decide how many to use based on the tan you want. A little hesitant, I started with just 2 or 3 for my face. And then I used 2-4 drops with my body moisturizer to apply to my body. I use the medium shade. And, I like that you can customize your tan.
I was surprised to learn that you can use it on your face and body. I have sensitive skin and did not have any issues at all. In fact, I enjoyed the feeling on my face. Another benefit is that you use with your regular moisturizer, which is nice, because I do have my favorite products.
Another factor that I like about this product is that it is organic. I started to worry about the chemicals used in my beauty products last year. Some products I was using were considered slightly harmful. So, I was happy to learn that this product is considered safe

Since the products are all natural, they have moisturizing benefits of coconut, avocado and oil.
After using the drops, just remember to wash your hands.
You can apply anywhere! Results take a couple of hours for a nice sun kissed glow. I would suggest using once a week, unless you are looking for a deeper glow. Lastly, I would also recommend dry brushing before you apply.
