In honor of National Lipstick Day today, I wanted to share my 5 favorite lipstick shades that I am loving right now. I have a thing for lipstick; in fact, I never leave the house without a lip product in my purse. Can you relate?
I often purchase a product to work with a look for a special event or occasion. However, I recently decided to review my products and remove those I no longer use very often. I wanted to make sure I retained only what I really like and want to use on a day-to-day basis. Below, I am sharing those products that made the cut.

5 Lipstick Shades That I Love
I recently purchased this product from Amazon in a shade called “Hustla” which is a pretty rose neutral color.
For a statement look, I suggest Lancome’s Hydrating Lipstick. I like to wear a statement color in the summer when keeping my eye makeup more minimal, and it really gives you that wow factor.
Another favorite Charlotte Tilbury shade of mine is the neutral Victoria.
Another favorite is this pink nude shade from MAC. The color glides on and really gives you a smooth finish. And great news! It’s on sale today too!
Beauty Hack
Wearing darker shades of lipstick will make your lips appear thinner. I always use a liner, not just to prevent bleeding, but also to give my lips a little more volume. I look for a liner in a shade similar to or slightly darker than my lipstick. You can use a brush to blend the liner into your lips for a fuller lip look.
This is my favorite brand to use, and I like the color spice. However, every time I went to sharpen my lip pencil, I was frustrated because I often found remnants of my eyeliner pencil in the sharpener. And then, when I went to apply my lip liner, I would find brown or black on my lips! Has this ever happened to you? Well, I found a little hack to help ease my troubles. I have just recently learned to pop that little sharpener in the dishwasher to keep it nice and clean! I found that this really helps remove any remaining color in the sharpener. Cheers!

Lastly, I highly recommend using a lip primer to not only help keep your lips moisturized but also to help your lip color last all day.
Terrific suggestions! I’ve been getting into Charlotte Tilbury! I have a few of her shades and a make up palette and also her foundation! I too always have a lipstick in my purse, I’ve been known to have up to three!
She has great color selections doesn’t she? A new lipstick always makes me happy 🙂
Great lipstick selections Nancy!
Lately, I have been finding myself using Charlotte Tilbury Stoned Rose most often. And Sugar Honey Fresh with SPF for outdoor walks etc.

Oh Rosemary, I need to look at the sugar honey with added spf that sounds great for Florida.
Some fun colors to try for sure. I have one standard color that’s more of a nude as I don’t wear much lipstick. But you make it looks so effortless.
For me lipstick is the only makeup I feel bare without everything else is for when I have special places to go or take photos but daily it helps to keep my lips mosturized.
Love the colors. I prefer to wear something more neutrals and you have some great ones here.
Thanks,
Kim
I am a neutral person too but every now and then I like a pop of red. Its just that red can be high maintenance at times.
Hi Nancy!
I am the same! I love lipstick! I am a big fan of Mac, but also love the brands you listed here. I havent tried Charlotte Tillbury but got a sample of her Pillow Talk and love it. Love the second shade you posted of hers. I think I may treat myself next month! It was funny, even when we were wearing masks, it was such a habit for me to put on lipstick!
Have a great week!

Hello Jess,
I love lipstick too and a new shade always makes me happy! If I apply one thing every day it is lipstick otherwise I like to let me skin breath.

Nancy
