I’m thankful for my grandchildren’s smiles. Sunday’s spent cooking with family. For pets, long weekends, and a good nights sleep.
I’m thankful for music, art, and my toes in the sand, seeing rainbows after a storm, mountains, and the sun on my face.
I’m thankful my husband can still make me laugh, for happy hours, dancing, and my time alone.
I’m thankful for my age because it’s given me wisdom through experience, and something to blame my mishaps on. I’m thankful for family, and friends, and ice cream for dinner.
But mostly I’m thankful for my conversations with God which give me a peaceful heart.
I know that the true blessings I have are ones I cannot see with my eyes.
I’m grateful for being able to love and being loved. I’m grateful for joy and laughter, and peaceful feelings. I’m grateful for patience that He has taught me, and unexpected kindness I have received. For the goodness of friendship, and my freedom of faith.
I’m thankful for the gentleness of a newborns breath, I’m grateful for self-control and the ability to let things go.
These are the gifts I will not take for granted. They are the reason I look forward to waking up every day and the best gifts I’ll ever receive.
What’s important to note here is these gifts cannot be enjoyed alone, we need the presence of others to truly appreciate their value. Appreciate the relationships that enhance your life and never stop the efforts to form new friendships. I’m thankful that you are a part of my life and because of our connection I will be happily celebrating today.
Have a Happy and Blessed Thanksgiving!
